The assistant will be arranging tours and excursions, liaising with the public and cruise lines, putting materials together for welcome packs and preparing for each cruise vessel’s visit. They will also co-ordinate drivers and guides for cruise vessels and land based tours as well as airport transfers.
They will be monitoring and updating the departments files and reports as well as preparing wages and accounts information for senior management. Although the role is primarily office based there is an element of outdoor work – such as cleaning buses, looking after toilets, etc.
he successful applicant must have previous experience in personnel management and payroll administration as this is a key part of the role. You must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrable skills in office management, an ability to speak a second language is essential.
A “can do” attitude is essential as the role is very varied, from preparing wages/ personnel to washing buses. You must be physically fit as there is heavy lifting involved.
The role of assistant includes working unsociable hours including public holidays, weekends and evenings. There is a 24-hour on-call requirement for this position.
Salary for this role will be £14,000.00 per annum.
