The Falkland Islands Company is the largest retailer in the Islands with eight outlets situated in two shopping centres in Stanley and three retail outlets and a restaurant at the Mount Pleasant Shopping Centre.
West Store Shopping Centre

Situated within this Centre is the Falkland Islands Company's supermarket operation. This is the largest retail outlet in the Islands positioned in the middle of Stanley. Providing the complete range of groceries, frozen food, dry goods, wines, spirits, tobacco and other household requirements. The supermarket also has an in store bakery which complements fresh bakery products from two local bakeries. The range of fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables is the most extensive in the Islands.
In 2003 the food operation was expanded with the new build of an extension by some 60% and in order to stay ahead of our competitors we were pleased to be able to reach agreement with Waitrose, food shops of the John Lewis Partnership and by appointment grocers to Her Majesty the Queen, to supply their goods in our store. Waitrose values and commitment to quality are shared by our management and in excess of 750 lines are on sale in the store.
Customers in the Falklands demand high quality goods and are familiar with what is available in the UK. The arrival of Waitrose products in our store is great for the islands because it brings some of the quality and choice available to the UK consumer 8,000 miles across the world to our customers.
The Capstan Gift Shop

This exciting new shop was opened in 2001 to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding tourist industry as well as improving the retail facilities for Islanders.
The best range of souvenirs and gifts in the Islands can be viewed in the spacious and modern shop situated on the harbour front across the road from the supermarket.
The shop also offers a full range of cameras, photographic products, watches and jewellery from budget to designer items. Within the Capstan Gift Shop you will also find the main outlets for Falkland Islands Craft products with the major local producers having their own sales areas.
The building of this shop also allowed the development of extensive new parking facilities for our customers.
All of our goods are duty and tax free (except alcoholic beverages). We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express Cards. Come in and visit us along Ross Road, 100m from the Information Centre right opposite the West Store, Stanley.
The Entertainment Centre
Open 7 days a week.
Situated next to the Supermarket this shop provides a one-stop outlet for home entertainment. Books, magazines, sell-thru videos and DVD's, toys, everyday greeting cards and gift-wrap.
There is also a large range of home entertainment electrical goods and the latest videos and DVD's are available for hire.

The Company are the appointed suppliers of stationery to the Falkland Islands Government and are therefore able to offer our customers the most extensive range of stationery in the Islands.
