At FIC we have taken a series of measures to reduce our impact on the environment.
Currently all of our sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, salads, coffee and shake cups and lids have compostable packaging and they have been that way for a number of years.
All of our plastic carrier bags are biodegradable and we’re always looking for innovative ways to keep our products fresh, hygienic and eco-friendly. We have also given away thousands of Waitrose jute bags, encouraging their use; this has caused a drop in the number of plastic carrier bags sold across retail stores.
Oil replaced during vehicle services at Falklands 4×4 is reused to operate our heating system at the garage, so no used oil is disposed of as waste.
We are always working to find new ways to further reduce our impact on the environment.
