Cashier / Order Clerk (Warehouse)

FIC Warehouse

The warehouse provides a wholesale service to businesses throughout the islands and supply’s bulk orders to seismic vessels, tourist vessels and fishing vessels that frequently top up their provisions whilst in Falklands waters. Products are sold by the case at discounted prices and it’s the Cashier / Order Clerk’s responsibility to assist the Deputy Manager in these operations.

Responsibilities

  • Taking orders over the phone
  • Taking orders via email
  • Taking orders face to face
  • Arranging deliveries
  • Compiling customs declarations
  • Participate in stocktakes
  • Cashier Duties

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Essential

  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role
  • Customer and sales focused
  • Understanding of warehouse products
  • Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess a problem-solving attitude
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Desirable

  • Hold a full manual driving licence
