Stephen Dent, our Director of Services, acting as a Coroners Officer on contract to the Falkland Islands Government was presented yesterday with a plaque and letter of Commendation by the Ontario Police Department at Government House in Stanley.
The commendation is related to a Coroners Officer file that Steve led in February 2020 involving the untimely death of a young man in Antarctica. The FIC Team, led by Steve arranged for the repatriation of the individual as well as the support of the family who travelled to the Falklands following the sudden death.
FIC have held the Coroners Officer contract for FIG for some three years, with Steve bringing the work to the Company from his previous company. FIC continue to support the FIG Court and Tribunal Services with Coroners Officers and Court Bailiffs.
