Charity Cheque Handover
We made a donation of £166.66 to the Community Support Service – Monies will be used for upcoming events.
With the Community Matters Scheme we help local charities every month.
Set up in 2004, the Charity Committee has donated over £230,000 to various local charities, sporting groups and events. These have come in the form of monetary donations, prizes, purchase of equipment and sponsorships.
The Charity Committee have a dedicated Facebook page to showcase our support of these charities and we encourage members of the community to approach us if they believe we can be of assistance.

We made a donation of £106.67 to Stanley House – Monies will be used for extra-curricular activities for the children. The use of the kids’ photos is authorised by their parents.
We made a donation of £1,750 to Multicultural Falklands. The monies will be used towards upcoming events.

We made a donation of £168.44 to Stanley Netball Club to be used for buying equipment.
We made a donation of £224.18 to the Falkland Islands Fire Brigade, for this years Santa’s Grotto.
We made a donation of £2000 to Lighthouse Seafarers Mission for this years Christmas Tree Festival. Monies will be used to purchase new decorations and other items, such as lights which will all prove to enhance the festival.
We were pleased to present the Stanley Nursery Alliance with a £400 cheque from the Carrier Bag Fund. The money was used to order arts and craft supplies for the charity.
The Falkland Islands Company presented a cheque for £600 to the 1st Falkland Islands Scout Group from the company’s Carrier Bag Fund. We were delighted to hand over a cheque worth £500 to Falklands Conservation. The funds were used for the Conservation Ball, the NGO’s annual fundraiser event.
